Antigua is a Contemporary Mexican, Latin American & Spanish restaurant.  We represent our Latin culture by providing exquisite dishes, made with the finest ingredients.  Our Chefs and owners come from a family of restaurateurs that have been in the industry for over 50 years.  The love and dedication for the Latin Culture is shown thru the variety of dishes, proudly representing the Latin community in Wisconsin in our dining room and thru our premier catering services. 

 

Mission Statement

Antigua is a causal dining restaurant that provides the Milwaukee Metro Area, with unique  and authentic cuisine from Mexico and Latin America and Spain.  Under a contemporary atmosphere, where people enjoy good food and feel comfortable.

Citlali Mendieta-Ramos, M.S. - Ower & Catering Director

Growing up with two professional chefs as parents, it was impossible not to love the restaurant industry. Her father Jose Mendieta was a chef for 50 years before retiring in 2008, and her mother Chef Elvira Prado continues to cook at Antigua.  Citlali learned to cook from her parents, but the passion for serving in the industry comes from within.  While Citlali was in school, she worked for about 10 years with her parents.  During those years, Citlali worked all positions in the restaurant to gain a good understanding of the business.   

Antigua is Citlali's dream come true.  A lot of love, dedication and effort was put into opening the restaurant.  Everything from the logo (which is Citlali's hand writing), menu, and decor was inspired by her experiences growing up in the industry.  While she enjoys cooking and visiting tables in the dining room, she loves even more to cater special events.

Nicolas Ramos - Chef and Owner

Married into a family of restaurateurs, Nicolas fell in love with the industry. His in-laws have been his mentors as he grows his culinary knowledge and skills.   He is a self-taught chef, but with the desire to earn a professional degree in Culinary Arts in the near future.

Carmen De La Torre - Catering Manager

After many years of working with Antigua's catering team, Carmen accepted the position of Catering Manger in May of 2011.  Like the rest of the team, Carmen loves to cater events.

Rosibel Solis - Marketing & Catering Coordinator

Rosi joined the Antigua family in 2007.  She loves people!  Aside from taking care of customers in the dining room, Rosi loves to represent Antigua at public events.  In addition, she enjoys and does a phenomenal job at coordinating caterings - weddings in particular.
